Dr. Lindsey Denison Martin

Dr. Lindsey Denison Martin was born in Austin, Texas and grew up in the small town of Bertram, Texas. She attended college at the University of Texas at Austin where she was placed on the Dean’s List. She received her degree in Biology in May 2008.

While in college she worked for a private optometry practice and became very interested in the profession. She attended the University Of Houston College Of Optometry and graduated in May 2012. She is also licensed as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist in Texas.

While in optometry school, she received clinical letters of excellence in contact lens and family practice clinics. She is a member of both the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Denison is very excited to be practicing in San Antonio and enjoys working with patients of all ages to help find the solution to any of their eye care needs.

Dr. Kaeleigh Bochat

Dr. Kaeleigh Bochat is a certified, licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. Dr. Bochat was born and raised in Bulverde, TX. She attended Texas A&M University and graduated with honors with her BS in Kinesiology in May 2017. She then attended the University of Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry and graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Doctorate in Optometry in May 2021. During her clinical rotations, Dr. Bochat received the Clinical Excellence Award in family practice two years in a row, as well as awards in academic excellence in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Dr. Bochat is a member of both the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Bochat is so excited to be back in her hometown serving the community that formed her and is committed to providing exceptional eye care for every patient.

Hello, I’m Victoria Gamez, the proud practice manager at Bulverde Vision Source since our doors opened in 2016. This incredible team is more than colleagues; they’re my family. Working alongside the talented Dr. Lindsey Martin and Dr. Kaeleigh Bochat has been an absolute dream. Originally hailing from Tulia, Texas, in the Panhandle region, I bring my genuine passion for eye care to Bulverde.

In addition to managing the practice, I am a devoted mom to 2 wonderful kids. Life presented unexpected challenges in 2020, including the loss of my husband, which brought new dimensions of strength and resilience. Beyond the walls of the clinic, I cherish moments with family and friends, making the most of every day. Coming to work isn’t just a routine—it’s a joy, surrounded by people I consider family. That same warmth and care extend to our patients, making Bulverde Vision Source a place where you’ll experience care that goes beyond the standard.

In Remembrance of Jed

Jed was more than just a person—he was a force of nature. Born in Snyder, Texas, his childhood was a tapestry of small-town joys, from church activities to community theater and sports. His love for competition was evident, whether it was emulating Michael Jordan in basketball or adopting his big brother’s baseball jersey number. As he grew, so did his diverse interests. Jed was an outdoorsman, a scholar, and a music enthusiast with a taste spanning from classic rock to various genres. Dogs were a constant in his life, an extension of his warm and genuine nature. 

Moving to Pampa in 1999 was tough, but Jed adapted and found a welcoming community. He excelled in sports and academics, earning All-State titles in both basketball and baseball. His intensity was matched only by his calm and unpretentious demeanor. He valued truth and genuine connections, never sugar-coating reality. Jed’s journey continued at Texas A&M University, where he discovered a love for golf before venturing into optometry. It was during this time that he met Lindsey, the love of his life. They built a beautiful life together, sharing dreams, a profession, and the joy of raising their children, October James Martin and Olivia Jewel Martin. 

The dream took an unexpected turn in July 2019 when Jed was diagnosed with cancer. He fought with unwavering bravery, shielding his loved ones from the pain. Surrounded by family and friends, he peacefully departed on June 4, 2020. Jed’s absence is deeply felt, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and genuine connections. His impact echoes through Lindsey, their children, and all who were privileged to know him. As we grapple with grief, we cling to the hope of a future reunion. For now, Jed lives on in our memories, a beacon of strength and authenticity.

We want to make your experience with us as efficient as possible. When you come for your eye exam, please bring:

• Your health and vision insurance
• Your current glasses (distance and reading)
• Any contact lens boxes
• Copies of previous prescriptions, if available
• A list of all your current medications and drug allergies

With this information, we can streamline your appointment and get started on your exam.

Insurances We Accept

If your medical is BCBS, your vision plan may be EyeMed, DavisVision, or Superior. If you have Cigna, your vision plan may be VSP or Eyemed. 

If your medical is United Healthcare, your vision plan may be Spectera. If you have Aetna or Humana (PPO), your vision plan may be Eyemed. We do not accept any HMO plans.
